Sweepstakes Official Rules
A promotion-specific rules framework for sweepstakes and redeemable prizes.
1. Promotion status and sponsor
No promotion is opened by this draft. Each active promotion needs complete, dated Official Rules available before entry.
Proposed sponsor: DEEP BLUE COAST LIMITED, registration HE 494371, D-U-N-S Number 365899213, Grigori Afxentiou, 39, ACADEMIA CENTER, BLOCK 1, Flat/Office 3, Larnaka, 6021, Larnaca, Cyprus. Contact: support@whale.us.
Confirm sponsor and administrator for every app and promotion; the sponsor must match the actual operating arrangement. Apple and Google do not sponsor, endorse, administer, or have involvement in these promotions.
2. Required promotion schedule
| Required item | Details to complete |
|---|---|
| Promotion | Official name, app/domain, version and governing terms |
| Eligible entrants | Minimum age; permitted residence and physical-location jurisdictions; exclusions |
| Dates | Opening and closing date/time/time zone; entry receipt deadlines; selection and award dates |
| Free entry | Exact online or postal procedure, address/URL, information required, entry allocation and limits |
| Other entry methods | Every method, any optional purchase relationship, limits and equal-treatment rules |
| Selection and odds | Drawing or instant-win mechanism, eligible pool, game-specific probabilities or explanation of how odds vary |
| Prizes | Types, quantities, individual and total approximate retail value, currency and availability |
| Redemption | Eligible balance, conversion, minimum/maximum, verification, method, deadlines, processing times |
| Administration | Winner notification, alternate-winner method, taxes, complaint route, winner-list procedure |
Every item must be completed for the actual promotion. This schedule does not establish default eligibility, prizes, or deadlines.
3. Eligibility and exclusions
Participation must be restricted to the locations and age group specified in the completed schedule. Specify whether both legal residence and physical presence are required at entry, play, and redemption. List employee, contractor, sponsor, administrator, immediate-family, and household exclusions as appropriate.
State applicable account and entry limits, how eligibility is checked, and what happens when verification fails. Do not use “void where prohibited” as a substitute for a reviewed jurisdiction list and effective location controls. Accessing the website does not establish eligibility.
4. No-purchase entry method
Proposed sweepstakes requirement: no purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win. The completed rules must provide a genuine, usable free method of entry before any promotion starts. Do not publish a claim that a purchase does not improve chances until the entry allocation and selection mechanics substantiate it.
Provide the exact free-entry URL or postal destination; format and information required; number of entries or promotional units per request; request frequency; processing period; postmark and receipt deadlines where relevant; and a route to resolve missing entries.
Explain the treatment of entries from all methods and any equivalent limits. Avoid unnecessary hurdles or conditions that undermine the free route. No instruction to purchase additional items to validate a free entry may be added later.
5. Virtual items and entry allocation
Name each entertainment currency, promotional unit, prize balance, and redemption unit, with its source and function. Identify which items have no redemption value and which can create an entitlement under these rules. Explain any optional-purchase promotion accurately, including allocation, caps, timing, and the equivalent free method.
Entry eligibility, expiry, use restrictions, and any permitted play requirement must be disclosed before participation and reviewed for the intended jurisdictions. Entries are not transferable or sellable unless expressly allowed by the finalized rules and law. The classification “sweepstakes” alone does not establish the legality of a paid or dual-currency model.
6. Selection, outcomes, and odds
Specify whether winners are selected through a drawing, predetermined instant-win allocation, game outcome, or another mechanism; who administers selection; selection dates; and the auditable method.
For a drawing, state the eligible entry pool, number of winners, and how the number of valid entries affects odds. For instant-win or game-based prizes, provide the applicable probabilities or a meaningful explanation of the determining variables. Explain how multiple entry methods are treated. Do not claim fixed odds if prize availability or eligible entries change them.
Disclose whether prizes can remain unawarded and what happens to them. Selection, game configuration, and promotional messaging must agree with these rules.
7. Prizes and redemption
List every prize type, quantity, approximate retail value, total value, eligible currency, redemption conversion, minimum and maximum, accepted payout/delivery method, and expected processing period. Specify claim deadlines and notification methods, eligibility verification steps, permitted documentation, and the resolution of incomplete claims.
Do not introduce undisclosed redemption limits, fees, or a new purchase requirement after a win. Any substitution must follow a clearly stated, lawful rule and preserve promised value where required. Explain whether prizes can be transferred, whether a cash alternative exists, and whether a recipient is responsible for lawful taxes. Request tax or identity documentation only through an appropriate secure channel.
Specify a fair procedure for notification failures, disqualification supported by evidence, unclaimed prizes, and any alternate selection. Explain treatment of a valid pending claim if an account closes.
8. Integrity and disruptions
Prohibit falsified entries, automation beyond permitted accessibility tools, collusion, identity misuse, and attempts to bypass limits. Any disqualification should be based on a stated rule and a documented reason, with a route to challenge an error.
Define a fair response to outages, corrupted entries, security incidents, or events outside reasonable control. Suspension or cancellation must protect accrued rights and comply with applicable law. Do not reserve an unrestricted right to cancel valid prizes or change material conditions retrospectively.
9. Privacy and winner information
Explain what entrant information is used to administer the promotion, verify eligibility, and deliver prizes by reference to the finalized Privacy Policy. Marketing consent must be separate from entry where required.
Specify any required winner-list publication or request procedure, what information is disclosed, legal basis, objection rights where available, and the retention period. Do not impose an unrestricted worldwide publicity release by default; any optional name, image, testimonial, or likeness use requires a separately assessed permission.
10. Complaints, law, and publication
Promotion inquiries and complaints can be addressed to support@whale.us. Identify the promotion and relevant entry or claim reference.
Complete applicable law, mandatory local notices, any required registration/bonding, permits, localized versions, accessible in-app presentation, and dispute process following jurisdiction-specific legal review. Preserve mandatory consumer remedies. Retain the exact rules version that entrants saw and record any lawful changes with notice.
